About

What is She Rides?

She Rides is a new cycling group for the women of Brighton & Hove.

What sort of cycling club?

She Rides is a social club that welcomes people of all ages and abilities. It is about getting out on our bikes for a ride, having fun and getting some exercise. And tea and cake of course!

What events will you be doing?

There will be fortnightly rides over the summer accompanied by a qualified female cycling instructor. But don’t let that put you off! As Instructors we just want to get people riding and having fun on their bikes.

Aren’t cycling clubs competitive?

No and She Rides will be a relaxed club. If people want to go on longer rides we’ll happily organise them but this is a club for all types of riders.

What other acitivities will you be organising?

She Rides will also incorporate free bike maintenance training courses for riders. We’ll also be offering commuter and parent sessions for those looking to use their bike for the everyday tasks.

    Hi there.
Can you tell me if you are a mountain bike or road cycling club (or a bit of both?). It looks in your photos and from the details of some of the trails that you are a MTB group, which is fine for me as I don’t cycle on the road if I can help it, but I thought I would just check!
    Thanks.

Hi Marianne, we offer both road rides and mtb. We have a short all ability ride planned for this Wednesday meet at 18.00 at the Pier for a ride to Worthing. Hope you can make it!

Sorry…forgot to say, I have a full suspension MTB. Would this be suitable for the rides you do?

Hi Marianne we do some XC and occasional single-track, your full suss would be fine for that if you are used to that type of riding. Keep an eye out on our blog or FB for more info!

Thanks for the reply. I’m not back in the UK until end of August, so will keep an eye out for any XC or single track rides you have from then. I might be back for the Stanmer single track event, if so, I will see if I can make it!
